The face oil, wine bar, banana earrings and pilates-filled day of Broadsheet's Food + Drink Editor
Grace MacKenzie's Day In The Life (Full of Links!) is here.
Welcome back to our monthly newsletter series - A Day in the Life Full of Links! This dispatch is written by Grace MacKenzie - Broadsheet Sydney’s Food + Drink editor. If there’s anyone who can tell you what’s hot, what’s opening and what to skip in this city’s food scene, it’s Grace. Her day reads like maybe the perfect Sydney day?! Full of movement and beach swims, coffee, snacks and a paint’s-still-wet wine bar, peppered of course with beauty, books and earrings shaped like bananas!

5.59am
I jump outta bed – turning off my alarm just before it goes off – and hightail it to my 6.30 yoga class at This Is Yoga. I’m stretched. Energised. Zen. I skip to Clovelly to catch the last bit of the sunrise. Ready to eat the fruits of the day.
8.35am
I wake from my aspirational dream to the sound of my fourth alarm hitting its fifth minute. I can’t help it! And listen… I like bed. And I’m sick of aspiring to be an early-morning person! Early, I am not. Now that’s done: I wash my face (slap on this gooey Foile beauty and my new fave face oil) then fish Burnt Honey’s mountain bread out of the freezer and whack some in the toaster. I grabbed a loaf last time I was in Long Jetty, and I’ve been smug about every single slice since (all topped with lotsa Lurpak, honey and Olsson’s).
