Sonya Gee's Day in the Life (Full of Links!)
The author of one of our favourite recipe Substacks gives us the link-heavy rundown of her day down in Tassie.
We’re so excited to kick off our new monthly newsletter series - A Day in the Life (Full of links!) - with long-time friend of the newsletter and podcast Sonya Gee. We’ll be diving into the days of our favourite people each month, stuffing them so full of links to cool stuff you’ll feel like a turducken. Exciting!
Anyway, if you aren’t already a fan of Sonya’s excellent Substack, To All the Recipes I’ve Loved Before (sign up immediately), you may know her as the Lifestyle editor for ABC News online. Originally from Sydney, Sonya moved to Launceston in Tassie just over two years ago and says it’s the best place she’s ever lived. You’re in for a treat!
This series is a bonus for our wonderful paid subscribers. A subscription is only $5 per month, less than a not-even-specialty coffee these days. The profits from this subscription go directly to paying our contributors for this series, so if you like what you read here, sign up below!

I’m awake way too early, so I creep out of bed, make some tea and read Piglet by Lottie Hazell on the couch by the heater. It’s a tense read and for some reason, I imagine the character of Cecelia being played by Gillian Anderson. I’ll be sad to finish the book but I’ve been saving Lucy Dearlove’s interview with Lottie for this very reason. She has a podcast ep and a newsletter dedicated to it.
