Highly Enthused is a newsletter, once a podcast, concerning all the best things to consume in life. It’s written twice per month by Sophie McComas-Williams and Sophie Roberts. Today’s newsletter is free for all subscribers.

Hello, hello!

We love a little fresh January energy and the creativity it brings. As the year of the snake sheds its final layer, we’re making a few small changes to how we publish our newsletter, and we wanted to catch you all up on the goss! As always, we so welcome your feedback.

1. More Newsletters!

   It frustrates us that not everyone can comment on our newsletters due to the paywall in each main send, and we’re sure it probably annoys you too! So we decided to re-think how we segment our recs. This year we’re doubling the amount of newsletters sent each month, freeing up the main sends for comments. First will come the free main newsletter (one from each of us per month) with the usual Eat, Read/Watch/Listen To, and Do/Buy sections. No paywall, and full comment access for everyone. Next will come your favourite Fast Five - five bonus recs from each of us per month - as a separate send. These bonus links will sit behind the paywall as a treat for paid subscribers only (love you!).

2. A Taste of the Pod

   We hear you when you say you miss the podcast. We miss it too! To scratch the itch, expect to find a 10 minute voice note from us each month, for paid subscribers. Expect the usual SoRo x SoMo banter in your ears, a couple of bonus recs, and a catch-up on life in general. Unedited, unfiltered, just like the good ol’ days.

3. You Tell Us (Please!)

   Honestly, some of our best recommendations come from your saved folders, your travels, your shopping carts, your search histories. We wanted to give you some more airtime in this space, so within each main send, we’ll prod you with a rec we need help with! Help us travel plan, find the perfect bag, uncover hidden gem films and books, and more. We want to hear from you and your brains. <3
